Brief Research Profile

Dr. Ravi Kumar Maddila is an Associate Professor at MNIT Jaipur with extensive expertise in optical communication systems, integrated optics, free space optical communication, and daylighting. He holds a B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunication (Utkal University), an M.Tech. in Opto Electronics & Laser Technology (Cochin University of Science & Technology), and a Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur. Prior to his current role, Dr. Maddila served as an Assistant Professor at IIIT Bhubaneswar. His distinguished career includes being awarded the Visvesvaraya Young Faculty Research Fellowship (20162019) by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. A dedicated leader in the academic community, Dr. Maddila has served as a faculty advisor for the IEEE student branch and currently co-advises the Optica student branch at MNIT Jaipur. He is also a Senior Member of IEEE (USA) and Optica (USA), a Member of SPIE (USA), and a Life Fellow of the Optical Society of India. Beyond his research which includes over 50 publications. He has coordinated the institutes network infrastructure planning since 2020.
