Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) for UG Programme

PEO1 Electrical Engineering Graduates will have the ability to identify, analyse, design and solve electrical engineering problems, drawing on a strong foundation of basic sciences, mathematics and electrical engineering.
PEO2 Graduates will have the fundamental and broad knowledge in electrical engineering serving as foundation for life-long learning in multidisciplinary area to enable career and professional growth in top academic, industrial, government and semi-government organizations.
PEO3 Graduates will have the ability to pursue graduate study in specific area of interest and be able to become successful entrepreneur.
PEO4 Graduates will get a well rounded education that includes communication skills, ability to effectively coordinate and contribute as a member of multidisciplinary teams, appreciation of diversity of opinion, consideration of global, societal, environmental and ethical issues in service to the society.

Programme Outcomes (POs) for UG Programme

PO1 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO3 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5 Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6 The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

PSO1 The ability to apply the fundamentals of mathematics, science and engineering knowledge to identify, formulate, design and investigate the complex problems of Electrical Engineering.
PSO2 The ability to apply the appropriate techniques, modern hardware and software tools of Electrical Engineering, engage in life-long learning and adapt successfully to multi-disciplinary environments.

PEO3 Acquire technical competence and leadership to enable personal and professional growth and to pursue career in broad area of power system engineering globally.
